Pro Fit Tips
The first thing you really need to do is start thinking of training as something you’ll do forever, like showering and brushing your teeth. Here, my tips to help you do this so you can become the biggest winner...
Sort out your head first by admitting to yourself what you’ve been doing to hold yourself back from reaching your fitness goals. Be brutally honest, don’t blame other things and don’t let excuses hold you back. You’re in charge!
Get on the scales, get out the tape measure, try on old clothes that have become too tight. Then, as you start working out, monitor how your body changes. There’s nothing more motivating than seeing the numbers go down.
Go to bed an hour earlier, set the alarm earlier, and when it goes off, don’t think – just get up! Book five formal training sessions to get you started, and complement them with incidental exercise like always walking up the stairs.
Why is it we love eating like teens whose parents have gone on a dirty weekend?! It’s time to grow up! Start making conscious decisions. What do you want more – that slice of pizza or to feel great in your bikini?
Break bad habits by creating healthy ones. Acknowledge pitfalls, like, “I can’t resist chockie at petrol stations.” Then, be ready – only get petrol after a meal, and don’t walk past a cafe if you can’t resist the brownies inside.
The key to staying fit and maintaining your figure is consistency – not going flat out for six weeks and then letting your routine unravel, which messes with your head. So remember the golden rule: be consistent!
